Student Project #01, Styling

In this assignment we were asked to study the design characteristics of an internationally known brand or design studio, and to design a  pen, bold marker or mechanical pencil.  I chose the american hand tools brand STANLEY.

Student Project #02, Metal

This project only had one demand: to design a product out of metal. Of course, the product had to have a very strong justification for using metal specifically and not any other material. I decided to try and make a musical instrument.

Student Project #03, Ergonomics

 

This assignment was about getting some understanding of how to use ergonomics in the product desgin process.
We were asked to design some sort of food grater. The design had to have a fresh, comfortable approch to it's function.
 

Student Project #04, Form

The shape of an object speaks volumes about it’s concept and enviormnet. We were asked to pick a word and to design a pot or pitcher based on that word. Bored with pitchers that don’t move, the word I chose was Unstable.

Student Project #05, Problem Solving

 

For this project I was asked to go and search a plant nursery for any kind of problems in the workflow. After that, I needed to design a product or upgrade an already existing product in order to solve the problem I found during my research.
