This project was created as a pitch for a local brewery in Nottingham, England who create fantastic award-wining fine ales.
As a freelance designer and customer I felt that I could bring some much needed branding to unify the diverse range of beers and help promote a complete experience for the drinker; a purveyor of fine ales and spirits that would enjoy the product as both a cask ale on tap and a traditional beer in the bottle.
The design takes inspiration from the colloquial endearment given to the Nottingham County football team (Magpies) and as such plays with some local slang, rivalries and legends to create an identity for the local audience as well as some interest to those further afield.
