The complex of buildings of the Resort Hotel Murro di Porco, rapresents collage of Sicilian architecture of the different historical periods. From the Greek, Roman and Norman influence, over to the eclecticism, the old “tonnare” factories, “bagli” and houses. Museum for temporary exhibitions is located on the very edge of peninsula, along the axis virtual created by a lighthouse. Circular in shape, with glass surfaces 360 degrees, offers panoramic view of the sea and the entire site. In the center of the museum building, in the open courtyard, there is an amphitheater, inspired by historical amphitheater in Syracuse.
