MOUNTAIN LAYERS
Layers have recently become one of my obsessions when photographing landscapes. I love looking at how ridges in the distance can create incredible patterns, especially when fog or mist lays in between.
Here's a collection of shots that perfectly represent my seek of layers in my mountain images.  Most of them are shot in the Dolomites Mountains, Italy.

Check out DOLOMITES PHOTO TOURS to join my photography tours in this spectacular area I have scouted for years.

Discover my work:
Julian Alps (in the distance) and Dolomiti Friulane captured from the top of Monte Civetta (3220m), one of the highest peaks in the Dolomites.

Incredible Layers captured from Gran Cir looking east. Morning light and some mist did the rest!

Perfect aligment of the tiny Lago delle Baste with Monte Duranno in the distance during an autumn morning.

Layers of ridges and fog captured in the area of Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

Spectacular light condition captured from a remote area of Dolomites, looking west.

Morning light creating well defined rays through the saddles of Dolomiti Friulane. Captured from the top of Monte Civetta.

Stormy weather in the mountains always creates amazing light conditions. Captured in the area of Passo Giau.
