Casa De Las Amigas

Casa de las Amigas is a 24-hour alcohol and drug residential treatment center for women. It was a logo redesign project in a graphic design class. They chose my design to finalize from different logo design drafts by the students in the class. They wanted to have a butterfly (the former logo had a butterfly) and to see an impression of “Pasadena” in the logo. Pasadena is a picturesque city that their treatment center locates in. The city has many old buildings and houses with beautiful flower gardens. The client especially desired Spanish influenced shapes and colors to reflect the characteristics of Pasadena. To decide the logo colors, I collected many photos of Spanish tile for color reference. So the logo color fits the image of the nearby area of their treatment center. I was happy when they offered me to design their anniversary event’s invitation cards and brochures even few years after I made the logo.
