Environment Design: Banjo's House from Banjo-Kazooie

Environment Design: Inventive Interior. Banjo's House based on Banjo-Kazooie.
Tasked with creating an inventive interior based on a well known character, I chose to design the interior of Banjo's house from the best-selling 1998 N64 game, Banjo-Kazooie.

Banjo-Kazooie is an action-adventure 3D platformer that revolves around the iconic bear-and-bird duo. Banjo, the goofy, easy-going brown honey bear, and Kazooie, the feisty red crested breegull that lives inside his backpack, are best friends and both play the instruments that match their names.

The design depicts the inside of Banjo and Kazooie’s house on Spiral Mountain, highlighting Banjo’s bed and banjo, and Kazooie’s backpack and kazoo in the extreme foreground. The house will be filled with items from the game that the duo are known to collect, like honeycombs, music notes, and jigsaw puzzle pieces, or “Jiggys”.

Finally, their front door will be swung open showing Spiral Mountain and the music notes surrounding it, just waiting to be collected. The window curtains are also flowing in the wind since of course, Banjo and Kazooie left the door wide open in pursuit of their next adventure.
