Fueled the evolution of the Chinese fixed income market by enhancing our Advanced Market Making solution for onshore dealers through in-person contextual inquiry, prototype development, usability assessment, and sales team partnership.
Contextual Inquiry: Observing users to understand their existing workflows and identify opportunities.

Prototype: A high-fidelity, interactive, HTML prototype allowed effective evaluation of the designs.
Usability Testing: Clients performed tasks using the prototype to assess new features.
Usability Testing: Simultaneous audio, facial reactions, and real-time screen capture were recorded.
Usability Testing: Engineering, Sales, and Product stakeholders observed the testing in real-time.
Usability Testing: Clients were generally successful completing the given tasks. Task failures provided an opportunity to improve designs, focus help documentation, and/or direct training.
Usability Testing: Clients were asked to assess the usefulness of key features in addition to the usability tasks they performed, which helped to prioritize subsequent product investment
Usability Testing: Fixed Income traders reacting to the intuitive custom formula functionality.
Outcome: Including end-users in the process from inception through delivery helped to ensure the final product was exactly what was needed. Based on the positive response, sales projections were to convert 42 firms over three years earning $7.5M in incremental annual revenue.
