The Brief
The mural was for an office which is located in the Cotswolds, it is a converted barn which is surrounded by luscious fields. The commission was for a dividing wall in the middle of the space and they wanted two murals on each side.
The Answer
I wanted to insert some life in the office for all the people working there, the view of the fields isn't accessible from the main desk areas. So I wanted to add a landscape into the interior. From there I developed these archway views, taking inspiration from the existing architecture in the barn.
I loved that the archways felt like you could walk into the landscape, perfect for opening up the space and office daydreaming.
Colour Palette
The colour scheme was developed using the barn as inspiration, I wanted to match the environment but provide pops of colour too. It was a hard challenge but I ended up taking the warm orange hues of the brick and wood beams, then juxtaposing it with blue as a contrast colour.
