Assisting various customers throughout their journey to booking a holiday by catered homepages
Version 1: For searchers
The first set of iterations I tried were more consistent with the current TUI Styleguide. By using the empty space around the image to display content, created not only a cleaner look, but also made it more readable.
Version 2: The browsers
The second iteration I designed was to heighten the browsing experience. This was for customers who didn't know where they wanted to go, or were unaware of the destinations that are available. By introducing a scrollable container allows for more content to be displayed without it becoming an over-bearing list.
Version 3: The deal finders
The next design challenge I set myself was to work with darker or lower saturated images - as this can be a variable difficult to control. To avoid a dull aesthetic with darker images -  I used a selection of dark but low opacity containers and overlays to compliment the scenic tone. This allowed for the deals to stand out.
Version 4: The inspired
This design was by far the most creative and really explored the notion of "less is more". Going with a minimalistic approach of using transparent containers with a light border emphasises the inspirational hero image and encourages a browsing experience.
