I always enjoy vintage apocalyptic movie posters, it turns out to be a fertile ground for parody. Also, it's been printed by Threadless !
I just made this new animated trailer based on the design.
Here is a quick step-by-step gif, I also used some photographs to draw the Eiffel Tower, some characters and various parts of the design.
These are two early sketches made while trying to figure out which color combination I would use and with which style. I ended up with a more realistic way to depict the scene and with a low-angle shot to convey a much more threatening look to the pigeon.
