This set of paintings is inspired by captchas, which are a particular kind of code. A CAPTCHA is an acronym for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart”. They first appear as random words, but in some cases symbols that can be thought of as errors also appear, which led me to find some sort of deliberate subliminal action in such errors. In these paintings I made symbols that tell us apart from machines. These paintings show symbols of a similar nature that supposedly tell us apart from machines. These errors are not random, they are premeditated.
