Self-promotion Posters
Every now and then I enjoy designing a self-promotion poster, expressing my thoughts and feelings, as well as capturing the important moments in my life.
Inspired by Barbara Kruger’s works, I designed this series of posters as a response to the discriminations that I sometimes face as a Middle Eastern Designer. I changed Kruger’s phrase “I Shop Therefore I Am”, originally taken from René Descartes’ famous quote “I Think Therefore I Am”, into “I Design Therefore I Am”. While I was not questioning the same topics that Kruger comments on, I used the same language and format to express myself as a Designer and to keep myself motivated at all times.
