My first project of 2020 was this poster featuring the letter S with some custom-designed borders and type-related elements. The poster was part of Posterjam Offbeat x Type Thursday Bucharest exhibition. During the January Type Thursday event, I had the opportunity to present and talk a bit about the process, sketches and mood board for the project below.
This project provided me was a great opportunity to explore some sources of inspiration that fascinated me for a very long time, such as the famous Sanborn Maps, old stamps, victorian opulence and some occult illustrations. Last but not least, I was able to fully leave my comfort zone and managed to include illustrated elements, present some rough sketches to a pretty wide audience and receive feedback.
