The Exterior Architecture Design of Salian - Taleghani - 2010

Salian company is a leading sales manufacturer of clothes, shoes and accessories in Iran with over 7 branches country wide. The new branch located at Taleghani St. in Karaj was intended to be renovated from exterior and interior. The existing building was compromised of 4 different levels. The first level was the display area for Salian. The second level and third level belonged to other companies, while the third level was owned by Salian. The other owners merely insisted on a façade that represented their name and let in a controlled light. The existing building did not compromise a simple and assembled combination. It had many jagged corners and windows without any function.
The concept for the base floor with the display area was to emphasize on the light and shadows the volumes make while being simple. The type of stone that the exterior was constructed of was the same as the interior. The rest of the floors were covered by aluminum façade according to their need to lighting. The window parts were covered with controllable shadings. The overall concept of the color scheme was to convey the interior colors as well as the Salian logo.
