Architecture Design of a Villa Building - 2010

The Architecture Design of a  Villa
Rasht, Iran, 2010
This Building was located in Rasht, Iran, near the sea and with great scenery potentiality. The design of the facade and landscape of a residential villa in the north of Iran, with a humid condition, and with the opportunity of a more flexible design was a great experience for me. The villa was requested to let in enough light as well as to represent traditional features. My aim was to combine elaborated adornments of Persian character into a modern facade. The blend of rich, bright colors was one of my concerns. The south facade absorbs a lot of sunlight, as the client requested, while the entrance through the pilot on the east side is shady. At the north facade the volume is even as to provide the less shade as possible. My concept was to divide the roof in to 3 sections with different directions. Moreover, the porch at the front would be able to give a fantastic view towards the garden. It also had long pillars that usually were designed in typical Iranian gardens. The details of the wall was also one of my consideration as to emphasize an artistic, traditional and yet simple look. The landscape design of the yard was also represented encompassing of water features, trellis and local plants. The landscape of the courtyard was also designed as a place for gathering and to convey a feeling of peace.
