Kipstay is a platform for homestays in India similar in experience to that of an Airbnb.
Overview:
Design and create a wall art piece for a homestay - Coffea Cove, based in Chikmagalur for about 3 walls of the estate.
Will speak and add to the space and not take away, distract or disengage the people.
Design Thinking:
The homestay is in the center of a coffee estate creating a serene happy place among nature. Because of this very vibe, we decided to go ahead with the art style similar to that of a constellation. We decided to have animals in Chikmagalur in that style creating a piece that blends with the space and brand.
The art chosen was based on what would help blend into the serenity and tranquility that the place inherently brings to a person while trying to set aside the property from the competitors as well.
It has definitely been an experience that has left me longing for more.
A key challenge we faced was time( completing the pieces in 2-3 days which was inclusive of travel time of 4hours + to the place) which we overcame with the use of stencils!
