The Cleveland Indians name has always been the subject of controversy, which is why I decided to rebrand the team from the Indians to the Cleveland Spiders. The inspiration behind the name Cleveland Spiders comes from the history of the organization itself. Between the years of 1887-1899, the team operated under this exact moniker.
