This mural was done for Kolor Kathmandu, a project by Sattya Media Arts Collective based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Kolor Kathmandu is a mural based project where local and international artists are chosen to paint 75 murals around Kathmandu valley representing the 75 districts of Nepal. This mural is based on the district Okhaldhunga which lies in the eastern part of Nepal. The mural was done in one of the over head crossing bridges in Sundhara, Kathmandu. The mural is a poem titled 'Okhaldhunga' written by a very famous poet of Nepal, Siddhi Charan Shrestha. The poet has captured the beauty of Okhaldhunga in this poem and it's one of his most famous poem he's written. Also, Nepali peolple are very familiar with this poem, thus it was chosen to represent the district.
