This is a project during my studies, on mid sweden university.
we were asked to open a new store, at 75m3. My store is a bookstore, or a studio or an art movement. My shop is called: by it's cover and has focus in two of my own greatest interests: people and books. This shop sells  people, it is people who create the content of the books and there are people who are the contents of the store packaging.

 

Today there are many book publishers and millions of books, but it's still difficult to get published. It can be difficult to get their opinion, thought or artwork published. Which by it's cover wanted to change. This is a store that allows each person to be involved in a book. Everyone likes something, everyone has a opinion about something and everyone can be creative.

By it's cover gives everyone a chance to participate in something bigger, a commonality and in the creative process as it actually is to create a book.

 

Business idea is: that by a creative shop - create and publish books where the creative people who come into the store creates the content.
 

The concept works on the way that the store, each day, has a theme (or a book-title). Today's theme will also form the current book. This store creates one book each day and these are created by the people who come into the store that day. When a person comes into the store they met by a large table, a table that takes all the attention. It is around this table that the books are created, it hangs from the ceiling material to be used on that particular day.

 

 

 

 

 

In my exam,  I created one week's books : seven books. These books have completely different themes with different materials and with different authors. Which has created seven unique books.

Design: Store concept is to get everyone to participate and be creative and also have the chance to be a writer, which is why the design on my packaging had the people in focus. The authors are clearly on the cover and also one work from the inside of the book. Filling in the books is just the way the person created it.

This store, who are located in the old town of Stockholm, is a publishing house, which prints and publishes books daily. The books are then sold in a small number of copies in the store. This concept can help people to become a writer, it can help people get the chance to be more creative and it can be a great way to find hidden talents. This is a perfect store to create very fine books.
