International Typographic Style(ITS)
A project to promote a fictitious International typographic style exhibition featuring the works of two acclaimed swiss graphic designers Armin Hoffman and Josef Muller Brockmann. The 5 part project which includes book cover and spine, brochure, 3d signage, direct mail and poster.
Research drove my concept and I came up with the concept of QR code which is both visual and interactive.
In Swiss a lot of grids and geometric shapes are used which are represented in an organized form and QR code is nothing but visual representation of rectangles and squares in a grid or matrix. I generated the Qr code for ITS and used its elements as a visual in my work.
I also generated a QR code for the exhibition details and included it in the brochure, direct mail and the poster. This code when scanned gives the details of the exhibition and makes my work not only visual but also interactive.
This project was ranked one of the best projects in the design department since I took it beyond what was desired and it created a new class standard.
