Koivu ja Tähti, "The birch and the star." A spectacle. Text in english.
Based on a childrens' story by Finnish author Zacharias Topelius (1818-1898).
During the great northern war, two small children, a sister and a brother, were taken away far from their homeland. Ten years later, they decide to return home and search for their parents, even though they remember nothing. In the play we escape reality into religious fairytales, historical battles, violent video games and popular culture as well as the esoteric poetry of norse pagans.
