A venture investor and teacher, Jean-Jacques Degroof mentors teams of young tech entrepreneurs and seeks to help them to refine their business projects. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Jean-Jacques Degroof remains involved with the university and supports entrepreneurs in driving transformational change as a member of MIT Solve.
The initiative aims to advance technological solutions to pressing global issues and to help entrepreneurs worldwide by facilitating potential partnerships designed to bring their vision to fruition. MIT Solve regularly holds workshops and gatherings to help participants achieve their goals, as well as to set the course for addressing Solve’s Global Challenges.
MIT Solve holds an annual flagship meeting, Solve at MIT, that is designed to connect the MIT community with global leaders. The next meeting, which will be held May 12-14, 2020, will include a review of the progress of the previous year’s efforts. The meeting will bring together the entire Solve community, ranging from MIT students and faculty to cross-sectional leaders and prominent authorities from the business, academic, nonprofit, and foundation sectors. Attendees will participate in plenary sessions, challenge workshops, and other activities over the course of three days. They will also have an opportunity to hear from various speakers.
Solve at MIT 2020 will highlight the innovators selected for the 2019 Solver teams. The event is designed to help these individuals to develop partnerships that will enable them to obtain funding and support to implement their solutions for addressing global challenges. Moreover, cross-sector leaders and MIT experts will discuss and advance concepts designed to address Solve’s current challenges.
