lxxix. Fairfield Barbershop Overdrive

This is a build of Fairfield's Barbershop overdrive, based on this project. I made the one that omits the fancy power section.

A bit of back story: my first overdrive pedal ever was also my first build - a clone of the DOD250 from BYOC. That was in 2009. In that time, I have built, owned, and played many other overdrive pedals. Klons, Tube Screamers, etc but I never liked any of them better than I liked the trusty DOD clone. That pedal remains on my board  as my primary overdrive / always-on "clean tone" to this day.
I have seen videos of the Barbershop in action and I had always been curious to hear what it sounds like without the YouTube audio compression. So I did what any compulsive gear maker does and found a project and cloned it. I had pretty high hopes for this thing and I made a design for it that paid homage to my original DOD build. This thing sounds absolutely amazing and I will be buying the real thing.
