“Ophelia” This body of work was inspired by William Shakespeare character Ophelia as well as the French impressionist Claude Monet.

Monet said that: “The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration”.

Monet’s water lilies series were a great inspiration for the creation of this series.

The idea was to further try and capture nature’s fragility. I wanted to try and create an image that resonates with emotion. Water is such an important resource, that we are speedily running out of in South Africa.
