BSA Eagle Scout Matt McCauley

On the same cold October morning that I witnessed a beautiful sunrise by a creek near the Tar River, a good friend asked me to take a portrait of his son who had just become an Eagle Scout.  Fingers crossed for good weather we planned to meet the upcoming Saturday at that same creek early in the morning. Luckily a partly-cloudy sunrise gave us ten minutes of perfect light. The eagle was added in post but the creek really is home to a nesting pair that could be seen in the distance towards the river. Unfortunately, they didn't make an appearance for the photo.

I also had the pleasure of designing Matt's Court of Honor program. Below is the front and back cover (the spread folds vertically in the middle). At bottom is the inside spread.
