Inspired by the themes of fantasy and story-book characters, I decided to create a two-part photomanipulation series with a slightly dark and unsettling twist. The concept of a ‘living statue’ came to fruition through the use of a variety of visual elements, combined to create a warped setting for the character to live in.

Part two of this series creates a contrast to the light statue while keeping the same visual style, introducing a softer side to a seemingly melancholy character. The combination of a tranquil cloudy sky, with the character’s calm expression invites the viewer into the setting.
