Our Trip to New Orleans

As you enter the City of New Orleans you come in on this bridge. While we were walking down the river front and looked back it really brought out that the heart of this city is the Mississippi River.
A little further down we crossed the steam boat waiting to be boarded to carry off on her voyage. This beautiful boat runs up and down the river teaching the history of New Orleans while giving you dinner and a show.
This is the Moving Holocaust Memorial on display at the edge of the water front for everyone to see. This beautiful piece of work is there to signify the respect shown for those in the horrible times of WWII.
The main entrance of the Audubon Aquarium of the America's sits right on the river front. Offering a deep dive into learning the aquatic life around the area that we live.
Passing the doors to the aquarium the first thing your eyes are drawn to is the giant scale like waterfall in the foyer. The aquarium is a powerful teaching method showing a glimpse of what we do not know all of.
This lobster may not seem so big but he dominates the floor of this tank. Feeding on whatever sits on the tank floors he is still a powerful creature with his big meaty claws.
Coming into the French Quarter you can enter through the giant Oak Trees in Jackson Square. Peaking through the trees you can see the St. Louis Cathedral.
Beautiful decorations in Jackson Square litter the pavement you walk around on. Capturing all the memories we can while trying to take in the breathtaking views proved to be difficult.
In Jackson Square you get an amazing view of the Cathedral right by the Jackson Statue. Just being in this beautiful park could have been enough but being able to get the shots we wanted was even better.
Here is the Picture we were able to capture of the St. Louis Cathedral. The ability to have this shot signifies that New Orleans has a lot of history to offer no matter who goes.
