36 Days of Type is an annual challenge that asks designers to develop daily illustrations based on the day's assigned letter or number. For my second attempt at the challenge in 2019, I gave myself a theme to work with, The Museum of Oddities, where each letter is an object in this fictional museum and is accompanied by a short blurb on its origin. The colour palette was limited to five colours and the backgrounds were patterned to form a diagonal gradient of sorts when all 36 images are put together in a 6x6 grid. Each one was posted on schedule, on my Instagram account @jrladia.
