National Parks

For this project, the prompt was to create a brochure using stock photos or vectors for a location from a list of prepared destinations. I chose Yosemite National Park because of my love of nature as well as a personal goal to visit every national park. I found the research for this assignment really fun and challenging. There were many stock images to sort through. An unexpected aspect of the project was working with the natural angles and motion within the photos to create a cohesive project. The verticality of the falls and sequoia gate made for great single panel images, while the sprawling sunset shot of Yosemite valley created a great backdrop and cohesion to the inside of the brochure. The mockup does not show that too well though as I had some difficulty with the alignment, and due to poor time management did not have the time to take appropriate steps. This was the project that I was the most satisfied with all semester, and it served well as a last project. By far the project I felt the most connection to, and I hope my work reflects that.
