Korean Odyssey Tarot Project

I'm a huge fan of A Korean Odyssey TV Series (Hwayugi, 2017), that tells the story of Son O-Gong (The Monkey King/God) and his journey to being a better person/God through love when he meets the love of his life, Jin Seon-mi, while exiled to the human world due to his mischievous and prideful nature.

On this ongoing project I will create some original Tarot cards, based on the original characters of the series.

See more about the show at: IMDB, Wikipedia and Netflix.

This fantasy series is very funny and has amazing characters! While I was watching I just thought: "What if they was Tarot characters too? Which card would they be?".

Jin Sun-mi use this costume when a predicted "unfortunate event", as it was called, happen, but for me this was just a point of view. In other sense, this event was a very fortunate fate, so for this card I wanted to change the feeling of this episode. It is also in this episode that Jin Sun-mi become the Sam-jang.

KISMET means fate, that often manifests due to events of chance. The word comes from the Arabic word ḳismat.
