89 Clouds is a poem by Mark Strand and it is a list of 89 sentences about clouds. According to my interpretation every single sentence could be perceived by the reader in a different way, just like watching the clouds we can imagine different figures. I decided to set this poem in Venice, where I'm studying, selecting and manipulating 89 photographs from the twenties to the seventies, from the historical Giacomelli archive; in this way I want to give just a direction to the reader's imagination.
This is a kind of sketch book of the memories, where every relation between photography, poem and calligraphy, helps the reader to see different shapes and stories for each cloud.
