Illustration inspired by Oberon's Palace in Arundel Castle gardens. In a mother-of-pearl lined cave perched in the medieval gardens, there is a fountain called The Floating Crown, where a turret of water suspends a golden crown. The medieval history around the castle and beautiful, abundant gardens inspired me to create this piece. I had also recently travelled to Cornwall and had also been inspired by Arthurian legend around Tingtagel, feeding into the creation of this piece.
