Nelle Stesse Acque è il progetto fotografico di Maria Ferrario, Paola Linda Sabatti e Vera Teodori, nasce dal viaggio in Grecia nell’ottobre 2012, con tappe nella città di Atene e a Lavrio, nell’Attica Orientale.
Gli sguardi, sostanzialmente eterogenei, ma affini nell’essere curiosi, critici e documentaristici, si sono lasciati guidare dagli incontri e dalle dinamiche del reale.
L’osservazione di questo Paese, così vicino anche geograficamente, e così emblematico del suo essere contemporaneo, porta a chiedersi a che punto siamo nella storia dell’uomo.
La città parla attraverso i segni che l’uomo ha stratificato nel susseguirsi dei cambiamenti, e attraverso questi segni racconta la sua storia, che altro non è che la storia dell’uomo stesso. Alcuni raccontano storie diverse, espressione di azioni imprevedibili opposte a (di)segni eteronomi.
Frutto di questo viaggio è un racconto attraverso le immagini, ma anche la nascita di legami inaspettati e spontanei e la creazione di spazi in cui è possibile costruire una nuova narrazione.

so close geographically to Italy and so emblematic in his being contemporary,
let one wonder on the actual point of our human history.
The city speaks through the signs that man has layered in a succession of changes, and through these signs tells his story,

which is nothing but the history of man himself.
The result of this journey is a story through images,
but also the costruction of spontaneous and unexpected links and
a creation of spaces where you can build a new narrative.
