Bus tour of Oahu (chief island of Hawaii); population 836000; chief city Honolulu. Photos (3) (4) and (5) show Oahu’s wild chickens which flew and fly their coops during hurricanes becoming beautiful wild birds around the island. Photos (6) (7) (8) (9) (10) and (11) are shots of a Japanese temple housing a statue of Buddha and surrounding gardens. Photo (12) is of horses on a ranch where we stopped for dinner. Photos (13) (14) and (15) are of The Dole Pineapple Plantation where the Dole Company still grows many of their pineapples, their other plantations being in the Philippines. Photos (16) (17) and (18) are of the beach within walking distance of our hotel and from our hotel window.
I should add that photo (1) is of a famous “blow hole” of water on the island. The water circles around  faster and faster until it blows up into the air in a great gush! This happens cyclically. Unfortunately this photo is of the water in a quiescent phase!
