For school I got the assignment to create an album cover that made use of lines, created out of a 3D formation of match boxes. These lines would be reduced to create a graphic that was simple but would express a certain feeling.

I made this graphic and started thinking about what I could do with it, and came to the idea that I could make neon tubes with it and create an optical illusion with the title text.

Once I created the tubes I started making the text in 3D and blended it in with a textured background that I gave a motion feeling to create even more depth. Giving it the tunnel feeling it needed so that the 3D text would look logical. Balancing the unlogical formation of the tubes through the text.
