Solution
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo held their 2019 Zoo Ball event in their African Rift Valley Exhibit. As such, when coming up with the designs for this campaign I wanted to keep African themed elements at the forefront. The pattern design I developed is inspired by African dashiki patterns. I chose yellow to be a focal color as it represents intellect and one of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s main goals is education. The Illustrations are all animals that can be found in the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and are designed in a line drawing style that is reminiscent of the pattern design. The typography I chose for this campaign is inspired by vintage travel posters and gives off a retro feel.
