Assorted Silkscreen Prints

A random collection of serigraphic prints created in school.
Born to Nap
Study on effects of layering of colours as well as use of extender base. When I don't know what to make, it somehow always turns into cats.
Koibito
Study of reductive technique and working in grayscale. The image is a rendition of the Lovers tarot card.
I Don't Understand Politics Well
Study in the mix of photographic stencils with hand illustrated. The assignment was supposed to be a socio-political issue. Because I always try to make sure no one has a similar idea, I decided to pretend I was politically active in lands rights issues in the East China Sea.
Haiyore!
Study in the use of large numbers of layers. I decided to work on the idea of incorporating more illustrative techniques into my printing. Photos started to feel like a cop out. The assignment called for a monster based subject. Not being a fan of monsters, I decided to be satirical.
Tadaima
Continued development of illustration in silkscreen. The image was originally a cute girl, but after the idea was rejected, I decided to do the opposite.
