Stories is a social network to read, write and share short stories; like an Instagram of Stories.
My business partner and I are passionate storytellers, each in her own way. We realised that, thanks to the smartphones, people were reading and writing more than in any other time of history.
We also noticed that people were using social media not only to chat with their friends, but also to share experiences about their own life: sometimes complex stories, deeper thoughts, feelings or anecdotes.
We felt that people had much more to say and that there was a lot of talent, but there wasn't any platform to go deeper in the writing.
We know books are expensive (especially in Chile with the highest taxes in Latin-America), and people have lost the habit of reading long books. That is why we created Stories, an app where anyone could write.

To make it nice and easy for everybody, the stories are only 100 words length - the size of one screen on your smartphone.
We wanted to inspired people to write about real stuff but also about fiction and fantastic stories. That's why when designing the logo I gave it a magical fairy tale spirit. The idea was to leave the door open to the world of imagination.
We won 20,000 USD through a CORFO fund to continue developing the app.
