During my last semester at Broward college, I was tasked to come up with my own projects rather than follow a syllabus, this was both scary and exciting but gave birth to this project.

The focus was to represent how concert flyers in different cultures would look, the band I focused on for the project is called Rawayana, they are a trippy-pop group from Venezuela whose Caribbean and reggae-style music has influenced many in recent years.
Egypt was inspired by the beauty of natural landscapes, a concept present in many of Rawayana's music videos. After playing with different images of deserts, this double-inverted image drew me into what I believe is the trippy style evoked by the band's music.

And for fellow Venezuelans wondering, Chipsy does exist in Egypt as do all the other brands in these posters.
For the Netherlands, I wanted to use greens as a reference to both the broccoli as a symbol of the band's brand and the abundance of beautiful flora in the country.
As for the typography, the band's name is made up of a custom pattern of broccoli, and for the information I wanted an almost symmetrical layout to reference the buildings in the city.
Japan was inspired by the underground club scene, which I imagine would host a band of this particular style. I wanted the type to be bold and eye-catching right from the start to then lure you in with some imagery, overall my favorite piece of this project.
