I created two custom Lego figures for a recent fundraiser, it was the first time I had experimented with this canvas and in retrospect my choice of acrylic paint wasn't ideal because it didn't set too well but I have learnt for the future.

I started by sanding down all elements of the Lego figures individually to get a more corse and plain surface to paint onto.

Next I gave each a piece a base coat of white, then another...

I decided to make a version of Arial from Disney's Little Mermaid film and painted facial features with a needle tip because the scale was so small. The face isn't as clean as i would have hoped but my abilities of painting on such a small scale will improve in the future if I keep practising.

I also created a male figure and went for a Homer Simpson design. Again the facial features aren't quite right but it is still a recognisable character.
