Customized for the Maximum Relaxation project is based on themes of consumerism and advertisement. The role of advertisement is shown in contrast to stories of every day life and idealistic pictures of the consumerist world. It is a collection of four catalogues, approximately 130 pages, divided by different subject matter: “Cuddly Proportions and Lovable Faces”- covered children’s paraphernalia, “Customized for the Maximum Relaxation”- general advertisement, ”Let Me Leave You Breathless”- personal ads from Craigslist and “Express Your Sympathy“-funeral industry advertisements. I played with images to give an alternative readings to the content, in order to show it as humorous and absurd reality.
