It is not often one is pleased to receive a rates notice from your local government however this year it was welcomed as my illustration was featured on my local council's, Bayside, rates notice. They needed a novel way to explain to the rate payers how there rates are spent clearly to reduce the amount of customer inquiries, the outcome worked with a substantial reduction in calls to their switchboard. This shows how illustration grabs a viewer's attention to effectively get a message across where words alone may not.
It was opportunity to highlight the places and activities that I enjoy in the Bayside area, the beaches, cycle paths, parks and friendly locals.
