DING

This project came about as part of our Branded Content class challenge. This consisted in creating a 30 second spot for a fictional product we had to create ourselves. As if creating a narrative for a fictional product wasn't hard enough, we had to fit a cohesive storyline in 30 seconds or less, with tittles included, that would tell the story of an object that transformed into any physical necessity you could ever need.

The result was DING.

For the creation of the product, we took inspiration from the animated picture The Lorax. In the movie, they showed a similar concept to what we presented, but we had to modify the product and the narrative so it would fit nicely within the constraints of the project. The second challenge we faced, was creating a 30 second narrative for this product. In order to show the wide variety of articles DING can transform into, we used a combination of quick jump cuts that transitioned together smoothly by moving the camera forward as we we got closer to our character. For this style we took inspiration from the infamous Old Spice commercials "The man you man your mac could smell like". We also thought it added a comedic touch to the video itself.
