This is a project about particular world issue research and provide design solution. The project lasted for around 3 months during which I did research and analysis on the youth depression issue in China, searched for inspiration in different type of media, developed concept and provided design solution. At last, art performance was chosen as my design solution expressing the feeling of Chinese youth being captured by varied social factors which are the results of a long history of development and great political movement.
Using Chinese Propaganda style poster, I reinterpret the current social factors in China including the deeply infection of the feudal system, the economic movement, the one child policy, high living cost, family pressure and education... I myself played as a controlled puppet by such issues. Through different reaction, I elucidate the different types of reaction of Chinese youth, some try to escape, some accept and obey, some accept but still try to get out, some just follow the old path and might ended up depressed...
