Seattle's Bethany Community Church

Marlene Scott heads training and development engagement at the Seattle, Washington, offices of T-Mobile. An active member of Seattle’s Christian community, Marlene Scott leads a women’s Bible study program at Bethany Community Church.

Bethany Community Church brings together individuals who share a belief in the word of God as described in the Bible and have a desire to spread their Christian faith to others. A traditional evangelical parish, Bethany Community Church has a long history that dates back to the early 1900s, when settlers of Ballard, Washington, began performing mission work to the area’s Native American population.

Bethany Community Church formed in Ballard in 1916 before moving to its current address on N. 80th Street in Seattle in 1969. In the years since, the parish has expanded its membership and facilities, opening new congregations across the greater Seattle metropolitan area.

Today, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Richard Dahlstrom, Bethany Community Church spreads the word of God from four congregations in Seattle and one each in Kirkland and Shoreline. To learn more about the church, including how to volunteer, please visit www.churchbcc.org.
