On this project the client asked us to deliver a high-end design with a low-end budget. Playing off of Saks Fifth Avenue's recent rebrand, I decided to go with black-on-black and white-on-white with grayscale stock photography. I worked alongside my print vendors to make sure that we could add a few high-end touches to such as simple peice. This resulted in this one color invitation with gloss and dull varnishes used to create the different levels of blacks found in the checkered patterns and within the inside spread. An external box provided by Saks Fifth Avenue was used to deliver the invitation.
