My choice of artists is the Mr. and Mrs. Venturi. Robert Venturi, one of the leading architects of the 20th century, along with his wife and partner Denise Scott Brown, contributed to the discussion and development of architecture, planning, theoretical writing, and teaching. Their work includes photographs, architecture and photographs. Denise Scott Brown is an american-zambian architect and urban planner, and a respected theorist, writer, and educator whose work has had a profound impact on architects and planners around the world. They formed a firm called Venturi, Scott Brown & Associates (VSBA). The venturis spend most of their time at work. They cooperate with each other, help each other, also "criticize" each other, they are an inseparable whole.

They often use different signs and symbols to express their thoughts. Sometimes they document postmodern bionic architecture. These buildings are a very good symbol for a city. While this may seem too garish for some and unacceptable, some professional architects, notably Robert Venturi and Denise scott-brown, have been drawn to the "decorative symbolic elements" of the buildings.

Billboards of all kinds are also a good sign. They photographed a billboard for a casino and drew a picture to analyze it. The top half is the logo of the casino, which often contains images, symbols, or the content of the casino. The bottom half of the billboard is a brief summary of the basic information about the casino, including its name, location, and some of its features.

Another common representation is maps. They are good at expressing different contents in different forms. For example, they would draw a map of an area and place a photo of a place they wanted to show in the corresponding position on the map. Another way is to just outline the buildings on a particular street. Instead, they could just draw objects other than buildings, like gardens, billboards, and the shape of each road. When they want to show how much electricity is being used in different parts of a street, we can curve the road like a hill. When they want to show the location and quantity of a certain building on a street, they can also draw the symbols of this building on all the corresponding positions on this road. Their methods are varied.

My first painting was a map of a part of city. I've outlined the roads and some of the buildings in the area. Then I used different colors and sizes of stickers to show different kinds of architecture. Like blue is for government departments and public facilities, yellow is for restaurants, bars, cafes, green is for parks, ponds and lawns.

My second painting shows the general location of different kinds of buildings on George street. They have schools, restaurants, government departments, hotels, and supermarkets. I've drawn the shapes and locations of the areas that contain these functions. These functions are represented by different signs.

My third painting shows the number of restaurants on George street. I use a hill-like line for quantity. The higher the hill, the more restaurants there are in the area. The lowest part of the hill indicates that there are no restaurants.

The fourth work shows the location of part of the restaurant on George street. I drew the building with the hotel, and painted the location of the hotel in the building black. These are all restaurants we can see when we stand on the street, not including restaurants we can't see.

For my final work, I took the location and number of different kinds of buildings on George street. This combines all the main elements of the previous four paintings. First I drew the outline of George street on the paper. Then I marked all the relevant buildings in Illustrator and colored them accordingly. Green is for hotels, black is for restaurants, cafes and bars, orange is for churches, and blue is for Banks.
