The book's title is inspired by the folk tales of Malakas at Maganda, who are said to be the first man & woman to emerge from a stalk of a bamboo. However, a Filipina is not merely defined by her beauty; she is also identified by her strength, wit, intelligence, and more.
I was commissioned by a group of talented young artists to improve their current book cover and to draw inspiration from my other work, "Drops of Jupiter".
