Making of Vanishing Point
First I created some interesting looking shapes with Moment of Intuition
Then I created a collision object with XenoDream
After that I imported the objects to Blender 2.80, and created a particle emitter that emitted the objects created with MoI. They collided with the object I had made with XenoDream. In theory the objects should bump cleanly off each other and the collision object, but in practice they will sometimes intersect each other.

I exported only the particles from the scene as an ".obj"-file. Then I created the final image with Octane Render.
