ESPN Classic Channel relaunch and Marketing

Positioning the channel as 'the definitive knowledge and entertainment channel for sport', we came up with the idea of celebrating the stories of great sportsmen and women under the strapline of 'Legend'.

Working from library stills, we commissioned artists from Argentina, France, The Philippines, Germany and London to produce unique pieces of artwork within the broad themes of 'Great Controversies', 'Great Wins', 'Great Individuals', 'Great Endeavours' and 'Great Comebacks'. 

Ultimately, if the channel were a t-shirt, you'd want to wear it.

Concept, logo refresh and art direction for the on and off air identity by Tim Finnamore with brand positioning and copywriting by James Moody.
